Artist in Action for Climate Solutions

At Majam Research, our mission is to translate knowledge into practical, impactful action. Our artists in action create carbon sequestering sculptures and functional art pieces. 

We also do business as Create Majam and Up Majam.

Founded in 2021, Majam Research has been actively working to sequester carbon by crafting "Carbon Smart Art" out of Hempcrete. In addition to our smaller sculptures and stay-put pet bowls, we're proud to have completed a large bench array, crafted with funding through the City of Seattle NMF's Grant. It is now located at the River City Skate Park in the South Park Neighborhood. 

Our board of directors is currently all volunteer, we have no compensated directors or board members. We do believe that artists and contracted workers should get paid for their work. We are passionate about the environment, affordable housing, human rights and making art.
